As a cellist and pianist, I have enjoyed an international performance career as a chamber music player, soloist, and string orchestra musician. As a performer, I love chamber music and soloist playing, both music paths that I have been cultivating and expanding. I have been playing the cello since just before 6th grade and have played consistently until college where I continue to play solos and in an ensemble. I am currently attending Austin Community College for a degree in Music Composition. On top of cello, I have arranged and composed multiple pieces that I had the opportunity to play with the school orchestra for both projects and just for fun, including arrangements for 4 cellos, and small ensembles. I am a positive and encouraging instructor, and emphasize proper technique, music theory, and fundamentals through a variety of musical styles ranging from classical to popular music. My students are all ages (I once had a student start at the age of 70!) and come from a variety of backgrounds and experiences. I am funatic, a fun teacher who is fanatic about there instrument. The cello is the middle child between the bass and the violin and a lot like the middle child stereotypes I also think the cello doesn't get enough respect.
