Teaching has always been apart of my career whether on the bandstand, the studio or in the classroom. The first question I have for anyone of any age is, what do you want to learn? Adults often have a clear idea of what they hope to learn, and for that I have many books and methods I recommend for different instruments and styles. I am going to suggest a very different set of books for someone who wants to learn to play country guitar and sing versus someone who wants to play speed metal, and then a different set of books for someone who wants to be a jazz drummer. For beginners, I show them basic chords (Major, Minor and Diminished) if they're a guitarist and if they're a bassist, I teach them octaves and basic waking lines. Once they progress, I show them common scales and chord progressions used in modern music and focus on developing technique. If they're intermediate to advanced, I ask them what they feel they need work on and we focus on that. For example, a student might want to know how to solo over a basic rock or blues progression or the bassist might wanna know how to make his basslines swing more. Read More

I have taught dozens students from over 20 countries about songwriting, guitar playing, singing, lyric writing, piano, ukulele and more. Since 2011 I have played in over 1000 stages, starting in my hometown of Corrientes, Argentina, at first playing on the streets for tips and later moving onto bars, later theaters, and now touring full time. Teaching has always been something I have gravitated towards, specially after several requests from my listeners. I have ample examples of frustrated or disillusioned kids and adults that left my classes with their heads held high, because they finally felt they were moving another more step towards their musical goals.
