Generally speaking, I use a learner-centered approach, encourage astute questioning, a cooperative stimulation of critical thinking, and I prefer an active versus passive teaching style. My teaching style is knowledgeable, but also very fun and laid back. I will always go at the students pace, whether it is fast or slow. I will teach students basics in sight reading, and the best way to practice a piece of music. I will let the student know what they have been doing well and what they need to work on.
