My methods revolve wholly and completely around my students wants and needs. Generally for beginner students I will start by going over the basics, a small amount of essential music theory, how to read tabs and chord diagrams, and the different components and notes on a guitar or bass, before moving onto the fun part Ive found students tend to want to practice and play more when they are learning songs they love the most. Instruments: Drums, Bass Guitar
I have been studying drums for well over 17 years! I love playing, learning, and teaching drums. It's all I ever think about. I began studying Jazz drumming throughout high school, and have performed, toured, and recorded with many bands since. I have become locally acclaimed with my affiliation for local Utah music festivals such as Desert Rocks Music Festival, Powellpalooza, Uncle Uncanny's Summer Sessions, and Psych Lake City. In 2012 I toured heavily all over North America and Europe including Turkey and Greece with a Psychedellic rock band called Radio Moscow. Read More

My method of teaching is that I always start from the theoretical part of every instrument or skill I teach because if they don’t have the background understanding they will be limited in their performances. I motivate by telling them my story how I started with no instrument I used borrow a two octaves keyboard from a choir member just to learn the piano my self I had no internet and no money so if I was able to learn in that condition they can do better.I teach the secrets of becoming a professional musician or music producer which one of them is consistency. I've always believed that learning comes 50% from the teacher, and 50% from the student. I do teach through lesson books but I've always found that they're better used as a guide rather than the focus of every lesson. I like to give the students the freedom to learn what they want to learn. I've always been willing to go the extra mile for my students, not just show up every week and continue from page 20 to see how far we get in the lesson book. Read More
Instruments: Cello, Bass Guitar, Double Bass
With the cello and double bass, I use the Suzuki books, along with my own system I've developed. On the bass guitar, I start by focusing on songs that student is already familiar with, and then expand from there. I have all of my students identify songs that they would like to learn on their own, while studying other pieces of music at the same time. I want my students to know how to both read music, and "play by ear." I teach them to really use their ears, to know if they're playing in tune, and if their rhythm and tempo are correct. Read More
