I use the Suzuki method for all starters, however, the repertoire is not only Suzuki. As indicated reading method, the more used is the I Can Read Music and the Hal Leonard Essential Elements. I allow students to work at their own pace while also setting realistic attainable goals. I want students to feel relaxed during their lessons so I try to establish an atmosphere that's both informal yet studious. One of my top priorities as a teacher is to understand what a student is most interested in and then focus our lessons on what they love. The best way to understand technique and theory is to apply it to something that you enjoy so I always try to attain this! Read More

Every violinist is different. I tailor my lessons to the students needs and wants. Through my flexible approach with students, I like for there to be organization to that approach. If I see that a student does not have any goals set, I will encourage them by setting light goals for them, and then guide them into setting their own goals. Read More

By the end of the book, you will be playing songs on each string. Read More

I went on to get my Master's degree at Georgia State University and then returned to Louisiana State University for my final degree in Cello Performance. Read More
