BFA MAJOR IN VOCAL PERFROMANCE , THE NEW SCHOOL FOR JAZZ AND CONTEMPORARY MUSIC - BA VOICE, UNIVERSITY OF MUSIC OF ROME -
I am a very energetic, dedicated, experienced and creative educator, with a proven ability to get the very best out of students. Music has been my permanent guide and inspiration since I was a child. Sharing the magic of music through teaching is my greatest passion. I graduated from the New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music with a Bachelor in Fine Arts and a major in Vocal Jazz Performance and have been performing across Europe and the US for several years with internationally renewed artists.
In the past years I have been teaching in Manhattan both young students and adults: voice, piano and all music disciplines including ear training, arranging, choir and instrumental ensembles, composition, harmony, musicianship, rhythm, music theory. I am a voice specialist. My philosophy of teaching focuses -besides the technical aspects required for each specific student and context - on providing the students with strategies and ideas to constantly nurture their creative process and develop their authentic artistic expression and style.
When teaching my youngest vocalists I adopt a very playful and interactive method. Singing has to be first of all an experience of joy and fun for them. However, even the youngest students are exposed through my lessons to the fundamentals of vocal technique, proper breathing and posture. Lessons for the older students include: technique (breathing, proper use of the different voice registers, development of resonance, intonation) stage presence, repertoire, microphone technique, interpretation, ear training, song writing, vocal improvisation for jazz and blues vocalists.
I am able to demonstrate and encourage high standards of professionalism and having a capability to support both young and adult music students. My philosophy of teaching focuses -besides the technical aspects required for each specific student and context - on providing the students with strategies and ideas to constantly nurture their creative process and develop their authentic artistic expression and style.
Select all the days/times the student would be available to start lessons. Selecting "3pm - 7pm" means the student can start as early as 3pm or start as late as 7pm. It is important that you select as many days and the widest window of start times for each day as possible. That will help us make a match with one of our teachers.Ok
Are you sure that's your only availability? The more availability you easier it will be to arrange a teacher for you.
