Bachelor's in Cello Performace from the Peabody Conservatory of Music
Master's Degrees in Performance and Pedagogy in Progress at the Peabody Conservatory
I was born and raised in sunny Southern California before coming to Baltimore to attend the Peabody Conservatory. I have been playing cello since age 5, and performing publicily since age 11. I enjoy performing in a variety of groups, from small chamber ensembles such as string quartets to large Symphonic orchestras as well and everything in-between! Along with my performance obligations, I very much enjoy teaching, and currently instruct students of a variety of ages and levels of experience.
Bachelor's degree from the Peabody Conservatory.
Master's degree in performance and pedagogy progress.
Minor in Early Music Performance on Baroque cello and Viola da Gamba.
Cello Sub for the Lancaster Syhmphony Orchestra, and performer at the Kennedy Center (recorded on the children's musical album The Amazing Adventures of Dr. Wonderful and her Dog). Section member of the Peabody Symphony Orchestra. Assistant Principle of the Pasadena Young Musicians Orchestra (PYMO). Cello instructor at Wood Bridge Music Store and Musika.
I generally follow the literature in the Suzuki Method volumes, but after a certain point digress to other stand-alone repertoire such as the standard concerti, etudes of Popper, Franchome and Kummer, and the Bach Cello Suites.
I vary my lessons to address the specific musical or technical needs of my students. I generally spend part of the alotted time working on etudes and scales, and the rest on larger more musical pieces.
Select all the days/times the student would be available to start lessons. Selecting "3pm - 7pm" means the student can start as early as 3pm or start as late as 7pm. It is important that you select as many days and the widest window of start times for each day as possible. That will help us make a match with one of our teachers.Ok
Are you sure that's your only availability? The more availability you easier it will be to arrange a teacher for you.
