I am a passionate and motivated private teacher with experience of over 35 years teaching students from grades 3 thru 12 in public school. I have played on broadway for the musical grease at age 18. My expertise is on woodwind instruments as well as brass instruments. I always strive to have my students be the best they can be as well as the best musician in the section they sit in. I have played at Carnegie hall as a member of the Allstate band while growing up in Brooklyn. I think teaching music is the best job in the world.
Taught for 40 years on the elementary middle and high school level. Playing clarinet for 50 years. I require all my students to go to nyssma. My passion and enthusiasm to make my students the best instrumentalists in their respective schools is a goal private students should attain while teaching them. I am always looking for new talent to mold into dedicated musicians that they can have this tool for their whole life. I enjoy this challenge and look forward to teaching students for many years to come .
I start with the standard of excellence and progress accordingly to the students ability. There are many studies and duet books that all my students of woodwind and brass compentacy play at different levels. At the beginning level I introduce scales so they recognize they different key signatures. A chromatic scale is then introduced as a mid level development. As students progress classical repertoire is introduced according to their level. On a advanced level I introduce jazz on all woodwind and brass instruments
I am a very passionate and patient teacher. With students between the age of 8 to 12 I try to instill a enjoyable aspect of playing an instrument along with a practice schedule. I try to build a good foundation of basic skills along with a enthusiasm for the instrument they play. Middle school thru high school the students who want to continue I then gently nudge the student to what I believe they can play. Each individual is different and so are their talents so I am very flexible to teaching everyone.
My daughter Alexa is very happy with her virtual classes. I can see and HEAR her improvement with only a few weeks of leaning. Staney is a friendly and patient teacher with a vast knowledge of his instrument.
Stanley is awesome! He is friendly, outgoing, personable, and cares about the musician behind the instrument. He is encouraging and supportive. It is clear he loves what he does! I am so happy to have found him as my daughter?s clarinet teacher.
Stanley is awesome. My son is doing good.
My daughter really enjoys her lessons with Stanley. She particularly likes how he gives her the opportunity to figure out what she did wrong rather than have him jump right in and correct her. My daughter likes his style of teaching! Great job!
My daughter looks forward to her lesson each week. He's patient and encouraging.

Select all the days/times the student would be available to start lessons. Selecting "3pm - 7pm" means the student can start as early as 3pm or start as late as 7pm. It is important that you select as many days and the widest window of start times for each day as possible. That will help us make a match with one of our teachers.
OkAre you sure that's your only availability? The more availability you easier it will be to arrange a teacher for you.
