I'm a professional classical pianist, singer-songwriter, and music producer. I have classical Russian music education and have a long experience of performing at different concerts, festivals, domestic and international competitions. Piano and music, in general, take the biggest part of my life and I'm extremely in love with teaching my students the techniques and tricks that I know. Music is a very special tool that can heal and help people in some ways. I teach my students to express their feelings and tell a story through a song. Overall, I'm very happy and excited to teach you all! :)
I've been playing piano for 20 years now and I have a 3-year of teaching experience in the US. I teach both online and in person and I always try to make them fall in love with the piano. I show them how special and exciting it can be. I mainly focus on classical music and my students see the progress pretty fast. I always tell them that homework is extremely important in order to grow and improve your skills. We also learn the basics of the music theory that help to understand songs better. I have a studio at my home and I'm also open to teaching online.
I start with books based on levels where we learn new things gradually. Whenever I feel that a student is ready, we start learning more advanced classical composers cause that's where real music starts. I wanna show all my students that they can play these songs, and everything is possible. You just need to do your homework everyday, be patient, and you will see the results. I'm open to my students' personal suggestions if they wanna play their favorite songs. There are no limits in the repertoire.
It can seem that I demand a lot from the beginning, for example, rhythm, counting, hand position, and so on. But these are the basics that some teachers might forget but I always pay attention to it and remind my students so they get used to it and eventually do it automatically. I really give them a good base and knowledge that they can use their entire life. With that, in the future, they will be able to learn any songs by themselves. The beginning is very important and I encourage them to be very mindful. At the same time, I'm very friendly and not strict cause I want to have a nice spirit around :)
