I am a passionate and very motivated music instructor who loves nothing more than sharing my knowledge with my students. In, 2008, I graduated cum laude from West Liberty Univeristy where I earned my bachelor's degree in Music Education with an emphasis in vocal technique and choral directing. Music has always been my life and will always be my passion. Performing and now teaching has been the best parts of my life and I am very enthusiastic about continuing this tradition!
My teaching experience dates back to my junior year of college where I began teaching ages 7-13 as an after school program. Since then, for 8 years, I have been teaching voice and piano out of my home and loving every second of it! I have had beginner all the way to advanved students in both voice and piano ranging in ages from 6 to 66. i have been a part of many choirs, music ensembles, and theatrical productions. I am able to prepare any student for any situation!
For all vocal students, I begin with basic fundamentals; such as posture, breathing, articulation, and control. As we progress, I'll get to know the student and their voice so that we can sing what is appropriate and fun for both of us! In every lesson we will practice theory, ear training, warm up regimens, and approrpriate styles and genres. For piano students, I like to use the Alfred series for books. Along the way, I will assign different pieces, outside of the book, based upon skill level.
I always make sure my students are having fun and learning at the same time! Private lessons are supposed to be there because a student has a love of something so much that they want to be better. I encourage healthy practices and constructive criticism in all facets. Setting realistic goals for my students, while being a postive role model, is something that is very important to me.

Select all the days/times the student would be available to start lessons. Selecting "3pm - 7pm" means the student can start as early as 3pm or start as late as 7pm. It is important that you select as many days and the widest window of start times for each day as possible. That will help us make a match with one of our teachers.
OkAre you sure that's your only availability? The more availability you easier it will be to arrange a teacher for you.
