I am a motivated teacher who loves to teach flute and to share my passion of music. I graduated from San Francisco State University with my Bachelors in Music in Classical Flute Performance. I have studied with Leslie Chin and the second chair of the San Francisco Symphony, Linda Lukas. I have been able to work with some great conductors such as Dr. Martin Seggelke and John Williams. I am currently working on the soundtrack for the upcoming Star Wars film and I have completed the season 5 soundtrack of Game of Thrones in November of 2014. Read More

Playing duets and tunes form the basis of lessons. You will learn scales and chords, rhythm, tone and being in tune. I like to include a bit of playing without reading music, depending on what your inclination is. For more advanced flutists, we will play Bach, Mozart, Telemann, Quantz (a flutist!) and whatever music you like and bring to the lesson. I grew up in Indianapolis. While in high school, I studied Classical Clarinet with Achille Rossi of the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra. My interest at this early stage of my career was and still is in Classical Music. I went on to play with many of the All-City and All-State Orchestras.After high school, my interest in jazz began to blossom. I went on to attend Berklee College of Music in Boston, where I was a Performance Major and earned my four year professional performance certificate, studying all aspects of jazz: composition, arranging, and performance.
