My wonderful mother started me in piano lessons when I was 5 years old. She never dreamed that I would go on to get a degree in music during those first years of lessons. I studied piano under Dr. John Cobb, who holds a Doctorate in Piano Performance from Julliard. I continued piano lessons for 13 years, but when I started college, I decided to major in trumpet. As a musician myself, I enjoy the cooperative element of music so I readily have an instrument around that I can play along with the student to help further innate musicianship for all skill levels of instrumentalists.
