I'm a musician who loves working with students and sharing my passion for music. In 2008, I moved to New York from Paris, France. Performing all over the world has been one of the greater experiences of my life as a musician, and I've had the opportunity to play at the Carnegie Hall, Madison Square Garden, Radio City Music Hall as well as the Blue Note NY.
I began teaching 11 years ago and have been consistently teaching students at my home studio for the last 8 years, and also on Skype all around including Japan, France, Germany, Brazil, Argentina and Australia. Encouraging regular practice on a consistent schedule is one of the key points I like to emphasize for younger students, as it tends to help the student progress and gain a passion for the instrument and music. My students are encouraged to enter competitions and recitals as well as work on composing their own original material so they can feel good about their accomplishments and stay motivated to learn. I'm always looking to bring on new students of all ages!
For beginning students who are children, I often start by introducing the instrument. Once the student is ready I will start with fundamentals. I will begin to introduce solo repertoire appropriate for their first recital performance. For adults, it's no different but I try to find out what the student is interested in and guide my instruction accordingly to keep the lesson interesting, no matter their ability level or language.
My first and only goal is to help my students develop a passion for music! I encourage this by setting realistic goals for my students at each lesson. Acknowledging accomplishments helps fuel a student's desire to progress, and makes students eager to learn more. I try to find out what inspires the student. I never forget that I was and am also a student; by that I mean that I am passionate by music and that's the key to keep on learning and progressing.
Scott has lots of experience and is able to use that in the lessons to teach in a capable, comprehensive & friendly way. I'm very happy with the progress I'm making under his tutelage.
Scott treats our 7 year old beginner with kindness and patience. He's a terrific musician who is gently teaching the basics.
We love Scott! Not sure how he gets our 3 year old to pay attention and focus, but he does a great job. Our daughter is so proud of her violin lessons and shows off to all our friends and family. Highly recommended.

Select all the days/times the student would be available to start lessons. Selecting "3pm - 7pm" means the student can start as early as 3pm or start as late as 7pm. It is important that you select as many days and the widest window of start times for each day as possible. That will help us make a match with one of our teachers.
OkAre you sure that's your only availability? The more availability you easier it will be to arrange a teacher for you.
