As the granddaughter of Cuban Composer, Music Director and Teacher, Gerardo Guanche, the passion for music flows through me as well, I am dedicated to offering everyone the opportunity to enjoy playing music. Whether it is from a young age to grow up to be a professional or just anyone wishing to express their emotions or life story through the music. I started at the age of 12 assisting my teacher and have never stopped. With todays' technology I can expand that dedication beyond the local environment by using online lessons. My education comes from an international organization, The National Guild of Piano Teachers in Texas.
I began as an assistant for my teacher at the age of 12. I graduated with my Collegiate Freshman Diploma from the National Guild of Piano Teachers Association. I have a Degree in Psychology and Education along with College courses for Music Therapy and Performance Studies. All of this has enhanced my focus in teaching to expand the student base. I have performed in two Miami Teachers Association Multi-Piano Concerts. As a collaborative pianist I performed with my School Choir since the age of 10 including at Carnegie Hall.
Every student is unique in their learning capacity and skills. I mainly use Schmitt Preparatory exercises for Beginners to develop the individuality of the finger movement and strengthen the basic note reading skills. Songbooks depend on their natural talents and disciplined practice. Also, depending on style of music desired to learn. I would not offer the same music a beginner child uses to an adult beginner if they wish to learn from a different genre. Children are encouraged to perform in yearly recitals to develop control over performance anxiety but to also enjoy a wide variety of music and difficulty from their peers. Most students enroll yearly in the NGPT auditions in their levels which they can earn special awards including Diplomas.
I am classically trained and that is the strongest foundation to play any style and difficulty of music. However, I focus on incorporating incentive music for beginners. Once they are moving along in each lesson they soon develop the ability to expand their style and choose a song they really like. All lessons are catered to the students' needs. My goal is to have my students be able to read and interpret playing any music they want in their future. Regardless of Hobbyist or future Professionals.
Select all the days/times the student would be available to start lessons. Selecting "3pm - 7pm" means the student can start as early as 3pm or start as late as 7pm. It is important that you select as many days and the widest window of start times for each day as possible. That will help us make a match with one of our teachers.Ok
Are you sure that's your only availability? The more availability you easier it will be to arrange a teacher for you.
