Berklee College of Music - Dean's list for 4 semesters
My teaching experience dates back to my high-school days, as I had the opportunity to start teaching private lessons at a music school named Clube da Música in my hometown when I was only 16. So far, I have accumulated 13 years of experience teaching guitar, bass, music theory, harmony, arrangement, ear training, among others, to students of all ages, at their houses or at my home studio. Encouraging regular practice on a consistent schedule is one of the key points I like to emphasize for younger students, as it tends to help the student progress and gain a passion for the instrument.
My method depends on the student's previous experiences. For beginning students I use efficient and famous methods like: "Hal Leonard Bass Method" (for bass players) and "A Modern Method for Guitar" (for guitar players.) Once the student has a good foundation and technique on their instrument, we immediately start working on Berklee's proficiency exams where they will learn: Triads and their inversions, 4-part chords and their inversions, all kinds of arpeggios and scales from one to three octaves and how to use all this information to CREATE. The most important thing about my lessons is that the student will be motivated to create all the time, their own solos, songs and will focus a lot on ear training.
Nothing is more rewarding than seeing one of my students develop a passion for music! Therefore, it's important that each student progresses at his or her own pace. I encourage this by setting realistic goals for my students at each lesson. Acknowledging accomplishments helps fuel a students desire to progress, and makes students eager to learn more. By trying to find out what inspires the student, I can successfully tailor my instruction to their wants and needs, not to mention that I will always be encouraging the student to bring me something that they created during the past week with the new material I taught. Even if the student's goal is not to be a professional musician, I think it's really important to motivate creativity because it makes us better people.
I took lessons with Rodrigo while he was still studying at Berklee College of Music in Boston, and he was amazing! He is very patient, which was especially helpful to me considering I have never played guitar before. I would highly recommend him to anyone!
Had a great time taking classes with Rodrigo a couple of years ago while he was still studying at Berklee College of Music. Great guy! Very patient and the classes were always very fun. I highly recommend him!

Select all the days/times the student would be available to start lessons. Selecting "3pm - 7pm" means the student can start as early as 3pm or start as late as 7pm. It is important that you select as many days and the widest window of start times for each day as possible. That will help us make a match with one of our teachers.
OkAre you sure that's your only availability? The more availability you easier it will be to arrange a teacher for you.
