I am a passionate and positive individual with a smile, always giving my 100%. I have a great deal of recording experience as a lead singer in multiple styles and music genres, having performed in 5+ languages at popular live venues throughout Europe and the USA. Let me tell you a little more about me; although approaching to music very young I officially started training as a singer at the age of 15. At 16 I was already playing as a professional singer in Italy, touring the country thoroughly with local bands such as Big Ben Shout, The Blue Flames Trio (also as the bassist), Easychich Orchestra, Rough Cane Sugar and more. In 2013 I obtained a national diploma at the Music Academy of Bologna, in 2014 a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Contemporary Music at the Essex University of Luton, UK, and in May 2017 a Master Degree in Jazz Performance at the Queens College of New York. Jazz is a fundamental part of my evolution as a singer and my love for that form of music also gives me a deeper understanding of songwriting, another of my main activities.
After moving to New York in 2015 I also started focusing on teaching and passing along this experience to others. I deeply believe in the importance of learning through movement and the fact that every human being is an able musical machine that has to be directed on the right path to develop the skills needed to make music. I have lots of experience with younger students, but I really love to teach anyone with passion for music. We all have the right to have our voice heard. Believe it or not, art is a give we were all given by nature!
As I said, I deeply believe in the importance of learning through movement and experience. In music we learn by doing. I approach music in a holistic way. Mind and body are two sides of the same coin. Therefore my students will be facing different kinds of exercises and topics, ranging from basic music theory concepts to practical exercises aimed to developing a sense of rhythm and a good mind-body coordination. To make the whole process more approachable to kids of a younger age I try to incorporate such exercises in games, songs and very brief and simple lectures.
I am approachable and easygoing. No questions are dumb questions, and no amount of times it too many times. If you decide to work together we will take all the time needed to really understand art and music and what it can do for you as an individual. it doesn't matter if you aim to be a professional, or are just looking for an hobby, I ask my students to be passionate and to put in the work needed to get better. I can only do so much, the bulk of the work is on you! Finally if you have any questions about specific topics or anything about my classes, please feel free to get in touch with me! I will be glad to answer your questions and concerns.
Select all the days/times the student would be available to start lessons. Selecting "3pm - 7pm" means the student can start as early as 3pm or start as late as 7pm. It is important that you select as many days and the widest window of start times for each day as possible. That will help us make a match with one of our teachers.Ok
Are you sure that's your only availability? The more availability you easier it will be to arrange a teacher for you.
