Overview:
I’m a laid back guy who synthesizes life with passionate discipline and unwavering amounts of fun. I started drumming when I was 15. I was fortunate to have a group of friends who were talented musicians. We spent a lot of time creating epic music, experimenting with sounds and rhythms, and having the best time of our life. My greatest influences are, and will always be, John Bonham from Led Zeppelin, Mitch Mitchell from The Jimi Hendrix Experience and Keith Moon from The Who. I look forward to passing down the knowledge and drumming skills I’ve learned from my years gigging and recording in bands.
EXPERIENCE
Most of my teaching experience is from working as an ESL (English as a Second Language) instructor. The amount of satisfaction I gain after helping a student fully understand a concept is worth more than most anything in the universe. I know that learning new things and trying to achieve goals can bring some very difficult moments, but the freedom that comes when these moments are broken through is inspirational - this is what I live for in teaching. I’ve had many of these moments through my years of learning drums, and it’s these moments I want to help students experience and feel for themselves.
METHODS USED
I create my own lesson plans based off of an assortment of books I’ve found to be incredibly helpful over the years as well as the interests of the student. Catering to what the student wants to learn is the most important part of my teaching method. My goal is to give the student the best methods to reach their own goals. Keeping students’ interest is crucial for them to gain and retain the motivation needed to get past the hard parts and reach that place where putting in diligent effort becomes enjoyable and fun.
LESSON STYLE
Goal setting is one of the best ways to get students to want to continue practicing. When goals are set, they can be achieved, and when a sense of achievement exists, it only follows naturally that the student will want to keep building off of each goal. My style is very laid back and encouraging. I don’t try to force anything. It’s all about relaxation and self expression. There are no right or wrong answers, only the the pursuit of discovering the pure enjoyment of creativity, how to be confident in showing who you are st your purest.

Select all the days/times the student would be available to start lessons. Selecting "3pm - 7pm" means the student can start as early as 3pm or start as late as 7pm. It is important that you select as many days and the widest window of start times for each day as possible. That will help us make a match with one of our teachers.
