I'm a passionate and motivated instructor who loves working with students and sharing my love of music. Performing is one of the greater experiences of my life as a musician, and I've had the opportunity to play at several places. It can be hard to figure out where to start and what direction to go in and I am here to help. I'm passionate about the learning experience being being a fun and relaxing experience. Gaining confidence in your instrument is really important to me. I look forward to teaching you!
My teaching experience goes back to my childhood when I was always trying to help my friends learn new things. Encouraging regular practice on a consistent basis is one of the key points I like to emphasize for all students, as it tends to help the student progress and gain a passion for the instrument. If a student isn't having fun at their lessons, then I'm not doing my job! My students are encouraged to enter competitions and work on their own original material, so they can feel good about their accomplishments and stay motivated to learn.
For children I start with the Alfred books. With piano I'll start with reading and rhythm. With drums are start with rhythm. I can teach either drum set or drum pad, depending on what the student is ready for. For guitar we will learn tableture first, then chords. For adults, I try to find out what the student is interested in, and guide my instruction accordingly to keep the lessons engaging and fun, no matter the ability level. I can also assign reading if they are interested, in addition to homework.
Nothing is more rewarding than seeing one my students develop a passion for music! Therefore, it's important that each student progresses at his or her own pace. I encourage this by setting realistic goals for my students at each lesson. Acknowledging accomplishments helps fuel a students desire to progress, and makes students eager to learn more. By trying to find out what inspires the student, I can successfully tailor my instruction to their wants and needs. I'm always looking forward to teaching!
Select all the days/times the student would be available to start lessons. Selecting "3pm - 7pm" means the student can start as early as 3pm or start as late as 7pm. It is important that you select as many days and the widest window of start times for each day as possible. That will help us make a match with one of our teachers.Ok
Are you sure that's your only availability? The more availability you easier it will be to arrange a teacher for you.
