As a devoted and demanding teacher, I find great satisfaction in sharing my passion for music with students. After completing my BM and MM degrees in Russia, I have earned my Doctorate in Music at IU Jacobs School of Music. I have performed all around Europe, Asia and North America, and I strongly believe in the power of communication through music. To learn this language means to enhance one's life in every aspect.
I started to teach back in Russia, as an assistant at the Rimsky-Korsakov Musical College in St. Petersburg. For the last 8 years, I have been teaching privately, in collaboration with various private schools. I encourage my students to practice in a focused and consistent way, which creates a healthy foundation for their musicianship, fun and initiative. I always get my students involved in a chamber music settings where we enjoy music-making together. Various performance opportunities always help to motivate students to learn more and be better musicians.
With younger beginners, I use Suzuki books 1 - 4. As a student progresses with basic knowledge of the instrument, I gradually add easy etudes and pieces according to each child's pace and development. For adults at the minimum level, I follow their interests in repertoire and engage them into musical side first, followed by appropriate technical assistance.
Using the vast array of teaching techniques, I am always searching for the most effective approach to teaching every individual student. Combining closer goals at each lesson with bigger, distant challenges to accomplish, I seek to cultivate the love of music in my students.
Select all the days/times the student would be available to start lessons. Selecting "3pm - 7pm" means the student can start as early as 3pm or start as late as 7pm. It is important that you select as many days and the widest window of start times for each day as possible. That will help us make a match with one of our teachers.Ok
Are you sure that's your only availability? The more availability you easier it will be to arrange a teacher for you.
