Overview:
I am a exuberant and creative person who dedicates her energy to playing music, performing, sharing knowledge, gardening, cooking and improvisation. I graduated in 2018 from The Boston Conservatory at Berklee in violin performance. Performing and sharing my music all over in Europe and USA has been a transformative experience of growth, joy and deep connection. My passion for music has brought me to perform in all sorts of setting, from important orchestra concerts, solo recitals, and chamber concerts, to little private gathering for people. I think that live music needs to be accessible to everyone and my mission is to bring joy and healing through music.
EXPERIENCE
I currently teach privately beginners to advanced and have taught since 2014. My teaching experience variegate as i have taught complete beginners to advanced players. Over the years I have learned how to recognize what is in the way of wonderful playing and to find the key to unblock the student and help them reach the next level of ability. Problem solving and organization, combined with creativity and improvisation are the key for being a good teacher. Listening carefully to the student needs I carved different methods of teaching for each one, providing them a safe space to grow and learn.
METHODS USED
To beginner, intermediate or advanced I offer guidance for a fresh approach to the practice of violin and voice. Trained in one of the best schools of music I have learned how to be efficient in my practice and to solve problems that are in the way of enjoying playing and performing. Along with technique and musicality I teach body awareness for preventing and healing injuries related to the practice of the violin. I also set goals with the student and help them organize their daily practice. Classical repertoire, folk, klezmer and improvisation. Building the principles of daily practice, solid technique and developing a creative approach to the studies of music as a whole Providing high organizational skills and planning: Daily practice organization • Weekly, monthly and year goals • Clear intentions Preparation for concerts, gigs, recitals and performances Holistic approach to teaching music with emphasis on body awareness to avoid injuries through: • Alexander technique • Yoga • correction of posture Encouraging improvisation and composition as a way to free self expression
LESSON STYLE
Nothing is more rewarding to see the natural musicality come out from the student and have them express them self freely, therefore I set long and short term goals with them to get out of the way what is preventing the student to play and enjoy their music. I cherish a open and friendly communication during lessons and offer balanced feedback to both address challenges and acknowledge what is beautiful. We can always get better and what really matters is to enjoy the process! I love teaching as its the process of uncovering the gifts of each student.
