Overview:
I have been teaching students of all ages for over 20 years. I am extremely patient and adept at tailoring lessons to each individual student. I have many students who have studied with me for many years.
EXPERIENCE
I began student teaching piano when I was in college and have been teaching full time for over 20 years. In addition, I have played at many healthcare facilities as well as accompanying singers and other instrumentalists. I stress having fun while learning and strive to make lessons enjoyable.
METHODS USED
I like to use a combination of Faber method since I have found them to be gradual and easy to understand while having a good variety of types of music. I also combine theory and composition along with ear training.
LESSON STYLE
I'm a very patient teacher - I use a variety of methods which I've learned to suit each individual's learning style
I incorporate ear training, composition, performance and theory into lessons. I can teach a variety of styles and am well set up for online lessons.
