My teaching experience dates back to my early college days where I started teaching from home. I eventually was hired by one of the premier teaching studio's in suburban Detroit. I have had as many as 40 students a week when working full time out of a studio. I have stayed friends with many students who have moved on to either music careers, or have simply enriched their lives through music. I am honored to be a part of it. I have performed in various musical ensembles from full orchestra, to solo coffee shop gigs.
I am a strong believer that everyone benefits from learning and experiencing music as a performer in addition to experiencing it as a listener. While encouraging my students to achieve at their highest level, I like to keep my lessons fun for all ages, especially for my younger students. I will work with parents to find the balance you desire that is best for your individual child. My lessons are built on a foundation of traditional studies where students learn to play, read music, and follow chord charts, as well as working towards playing free from reading music. For students that are interested, I can help them create their own music either using the latest technology or starting simple with just a single instrument. I also enjoy helping students learn to improvise if they choose. Whether you or your child are a beginner or a more advanced student needing guidance, let's explore music together!

Select all the days/times the student would be available to start lessons. Selecting "3pm - 7pm" means the student can start as early as 3pm or start as late as 7pm. It is important that you select as many days and the widest window of start times for each day as possible. That will help us make a match with one of our teachers.
