I have been passionate about music since the age of 8 when I started playing the Piano in church, and ever since music has been a prominent part of my life. Since School I was involved with Bands where I played the Piano, Keyboards and developed my interest in songwriting, production and sound design. I have several published media articles to my accolade. All of these experiences, motivated and inspired me to seek a career in music. I went on to complete my training in classical Piano and achieved a Bachelors degree from Trinity College London.
Presently I have over 10 years of experience teaching music privately as well as in a classroom environment. I have taught in two private International Baccalaureate Schools as a 'Music teacher' and 'Director of music' where I taught Elementary, Middle and High School. I taught musical analysis, performance and composition components. I offered lessons in Piano and music technology as an after school activity. I have attended several music teaching workshops to ensure my personal growth as an educator. I am also an accredited teacher for IGCSE music (University of Cambridge). My lessons are tailor made with Individual student(s) in mind. My method of teaching allows students to establish their personal learning goals and objectives. I select a repertoire for students based on their skill level. I create a curriculum which helps them achieve their goals whether it is learning to read music, play be ear or simply learning to play their favorite cover song.
My lessons are tailor-made with individual student(s) and their learning needs in mind. My method of teaching allows students to establish their personal learning goals and objectives. Some of the method books I use are: Alfreds Prep, basic piano and guitar course Bastien Piano basics. Wunder Keys. Piano Adventures. Edna Mae Burnam. Step by Step. A dozen a day. Technical exercises for the piano to be done each day before practicing. Czerney practical method for piano. Hal Leonard. Adult Piano Method book.
Acknowledging accomplishments helps fuel a students desire to progress and makes students eager to learn more. By trying to find out what inspires the student, I can successfully customize my instruction to their wants and needs. It is important that each student progresses at his or her own pace. So I set realistic goals for my students at each lesson.
Select all the days/times the student would be available to start lessons. Selecting "3pm - 7pm" means the student can start as early as 3pm or start as late as 7pm. It is important that you select as many days and the widest window of start times for each day as possible. That will help us make a match with one of our teachers.Ok
Are you sure that's your only availability? The more availability you easier it will be to arrange a teacher for you.
