I am Russian classical educated musician. My personal world have been enriched since I started to study clasical music and learn to play piano at nine year old. Bringing the names of great composers, Bach, Beethoven, Mozart, Tchaykovsky, Rachmaninoff, ect. to the children at the Elementary and Middle schools was the beginning of my professional journey. Touching the white and black keys of the piano with my children was the another part of the story.
Teaching is all what I do in my life. Teaching children is the focus of it. My frist involvement with piano lessons have started six years ago. My daughter was four year old. I think It is right age for some children to be introduced the instrument. The experience of the dedicated mother of three will be there for me making strong relationships with my future students, and as the point of it, make them succeed in classical music world. I will encourage my students to enter competitions and recitals, as well as work on composing their own original material, so they can feel good about their accomplishments and stay motivated to learn. I am always looking to bring on new students of all ages!
For beginning students who are children, I typically start with John Thompson's Easiest Piano Course, 4 books. Once the student has progressed to have a grasp of the fundamentals, I will begin to introduce solo repertoire appropriate for their first recital performance. For adults, I try to find out what the student is interested in, and guide my instruction according to keep the lessons engaging and fun, no matter their ability level.
Every student is different. I set realistic goals for each of them at each lesson. Acknowledging accomplishments helps fuel a students desire to progress and success, and makes students eager to learn more. By trying to find out what inpires the students, I can successfully tailor my instruction to their wants and needs.
Select all the days/times the student would be available to start lessons. Selecting "3pm - 7pm" means the student can start as early as 3pm or start as late as 7pm. It is important that you select as many days and the widest window of start times for each day as possible. That will help us make a match with one of our teachers.Ok
Are you sure that's your only availability? The more availability you easier it will be to arrange a teacher for you.
