Overview:
Since I was 8, I studied cello and chamber music with several teachers all over Europe, and I performed intensely in festivals and seasons as a chamber and orchestra musician - particularly in Italy and Sweden - between 2008 and 2011. In 2010 I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Cello and Chamber Music. In the meantime, I studied singing at pop-star Silvia Mezzanotte’s School, as well as with Opera Singers from Italy, Canada and Israel.  The diverse methods I’ve studied from these masters of voice have allowed me to expand my range and repertoire by adapting their techniques into a wide variety of genres. I’ve been lead singer at Renato Giorgi’s Midi Recording Studio since I was 12. In my life I have had so many unbelievable music teachers and experiences, that it’s now an honor and a pleasure to share my learning lessons with students of all ages!
EXPERIENCE
Teaching is my thing, in whatever form it may come. I've been teaching children and teen-agers how to sing as an ensemble and as soloists since I was 15, and I've led them through the professional recording of dozens of CDs. In my life I’ve taught cello, voice, guitar, piano, Italian,  Active Listening Playground and more, in 5 countries. I just love facilitating the process of a person coming across new challenges and dealing with them in very personal ways, with the end result of learning new skills to express themselves. I'm currently teaching cello, voice and Holistic Concert Experiences to the young members of Valley Vibes Orchestra (Sonoma, CA).
METHODS USED
I tailor my teaching method and lesson planning to each student’s aspirations and talents.  I use Active Listening Playground (www.composingcommunity.com) as a self-confidence and creativity-boosting method. I base my teaching technique on a lifetime of musical learning from many different teachers, experiences and manuals. My ultimate goal is making each student musically independent and give them the skills to become their own teacher. The process of learning music can push some emotional buttons for any student, and all my experience as artistic director and artist developer of high-performing classical musicians equipped me to be their rock through tough moments and their number one fan through big and small successes.
LESSON STYLE
I use a lot of positive reinforcement and “coaching”, by which I mean asking guiding questions and letting each student figure out his/her personal answers to technique and musical challenges. I try to make sure that, at every step of the way, the student is detail-oriented and aware of the big picture of what we are working for. All in the friendliest and warmest environment possible. Not only do I teach my students the techniques to reach the goals they’d like to achieve, but I also train them in stage presence and stage confidence, as well as expand their overall set of expression tools, to make them more holistic performers than just cellists, singers, pianists, guitarists, etc.

Classes lack structure and the instructor doesn't seem too invested in teaching. She knows how to play the cello and knows some intersting techniques but students will have to work very hard to actually benefit any from the sessions.

Giorgia has been an inspiration and a friend to our daughter-who adores her. We feel that it was a perfect match and look forward to not only our daughter's successes, but being able to say we knew this amazing person and musician as she makes her mark of kindness and gentleness in the world!

Our child's teacher is very patient with our child with high functioning autism. She's on time and flexible. She puts our son at ease and he looks forward to working with her each week.

Giorgia is an amazing person and teacher. From the first time we invited her into our home her attitude and professionalism has been amazing. Her personal care of our daughters needs with music and the cello have been at the forefront of her concern and that shows in her teaching and development of lessons specific to our students needs. It's not just about the notes, it's about developing a love of music and the implementation of the skills needed to excite and entice our daughter to reach her potential. Excellent teacher who I would recommend to any student from the beginner to the advanced musician who wants to polish their skills. Very happy with the progress and level of care.
