I am a motivated and passionate musician who is excited to teach. I want to make sure that a love for classical music stays prominent in the schools and minds of everyone for centuries to come. I have been playing flute for 10 years now and plan to continue for as long as possible. I have taught lessons to many from the ages of 11 - 18. I have taught one on one and mini group lessons. I love being able to watch my students improve at their instruments and meet their goals due to their hard work. I hope to be able to work with you so I can motivate you to be the best musician you can possibly be and to meet all of your goals!
I have taught many students in junior highs and high schools while I was in high school. I am still teaching lessons to many high school students to help them prepare for their All - State and college auditions. Many of them have accomplished their goals and got to where they wanted to be. My goal is to one day teach a high school band program and help them to be amazing musicians and amazing people in life overall. Learning an instrument, I have learned, should be fun. It is okay to get frustrated during practice, but I love teaching my students to never give up. You can do anything you put your mind to! I am here to make sure that you get to where you want to be and I will not give up on you!
Everyone learns in a different way, so it is my job to figure out my students' way of learning and making sure that it is efficient for them and that progress is made. For beginners, we work on air support, tone and technique. We will use different etudes (usually from the Mary Karen Clardy etude book) to work on those things. For intermediate level musicians we will work on more solo repertoire to begin building their resume so they can look very impressive later on. All music is made up of scales, therefore we will be working on scales together. For most students I love to throw in mini music theory lessons so they can understand different things later on. I find it to be helpful while playing more complicated repertoire. Lessons will always be fun, motivational and productive.
I love to see students happy with their progress. It is even better when they reach a goal that they have actively been working towards. I love to help students reach their goals at their own pace. A challenge is always good because they aid in getting better. We start by discovering what they really know and work on improving their skills by playing repertoire that may go a little beyond what they know how to do. It will hep them learn a new skill that they can utilize in other pieces later on. We will work together to get to the level you want to be at and we won't give up until you do!

Select all the days/times the student would be available to start lessons. Selecting "3pm - 7pm" means the student can start as early as 3pm or start as late as 7pm. It is important that you select as many days and the widest window of start times for each day as possible. That will help us make a match with one of our teachers.
OkAre you sure that's your only availability? The more availability you easier it will be to arrange a teacher for you.
