I am a passionate person who wants to give the love of music to as many people as possible. I graduated in the spring of 2018 from Concordia University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Clarinet Performance. I have been teaching in the Round Rock/Georgetown area for 2 years and I could not be more thrilled to expand my studio to accommodate for teaching more students. I have such a love for music that I want to give to as many students as possible because I believe that music is the universal language that can speak to anyone.
I started teaching a couple of years ago. I have been teaching advanced Beginners but am always looking to broaden my horizons! I like emphasizing the fundamentals of music as well as the instrument being taught, as well as effective practice. With these two things, students can accomplish whatever they desire when it comes to music. I also like integrating songs that may be relevant to the students and that they have expressed interest in playing as long as it will help with the skills we are currently working on. My students are encouraged to enter as may competitions and recitals as they see fit, to be able to reap the rewards of their education. I'm open to teaching any and all, so give me a try!
As in the classroom, each student will learn differently. I like tailoring the lessons to the method that will best help the student to grasp and retain the information presented. Each lesson plan I make is different and is catered to the student being taught. I do this for students of all ages, young and more advanced students. I believe that each students should get the instruction at their own levels and not necessarily along with a pre-made plan. I believe that lessons should be engaging and fun as well as educational.
I believe that everyone should move at their own pace. I like to set 1-2 big goals at the beginning of the year and then smaller goals week to week so that the student can have something to strive for as well as see their progress over the subsequent weeks. I believe in celebrating any progress made as to help bolster the student and fuel them to want to learn more as progress in their skills on their desired instrument. I like shaping goals around what inspires the student and design weekly goals from there.
Select all the days/times the student would be available to start lessons. Selecting "3pm - 7pm" means the student can start as early as 3pm or start as late as 7pm. It is important that you select as many days and the widest window of start times for each day as possible. That will help us make a match with one of our teachers.Ok
Are you sure that's your only availability? The more availability you easier it will be to arrange a teacher for you.
