I have being playing the drums now for almost fifteen years and with a constant practice of two hours or more a day. In 2010, I graduated from Florida Southern University with a Bachelor of Science in Music Managent. I love to teach and share my talent with students and to see them become better musicians. In 2008, I had the opportunity to tour the east coast of America with Southeastern Singers band. I'm passionate and enjoy playing the drums.
My teaching experience dates back to my first job in Canzion of Music where I taugh 3 to 4 students in a class on how to play the drums. I loved how the student would be excited coming into the class and leaving the class encouraged. I tell them to practice and practice because it will make them better and to see their results was pleasing. Motivation, practice, and encouragement is the key to improve.
For beginning students on the drums, I ask them who is their favorite drummer and their goals. Then I start teaching the basic drum rudiments by Percussive Arts Society International, to guide the student in understanding the different drum roll they can play. For intermediate students, I also would ask them who their favorite drummer is and their goals. Then I teach intermediate snare drum studies by Mitchell Peters which will help the students understand drum stick control and how they can apply that on the drums. For Advance students, I also would ask them who their favorite drummer is and their goals. Then i start to teach them independence which is a technique doing different rhythms using all four limps. left/right hands and left/rigth legs.
Seeing my students having fun and improving, makes me know I am doing my job right. I will encourage and set realistic goals for them each lesson period. I encourage them at all lessons to practice because they will see improvement which will fuel their desire for success.
Select all the days/times the student would be available to start lessons. Selecting "3pm - 7pm" means the student can start as early as 3pm or start as late as 7pm. It is important that you select as many days and the widest window of start times for each day as possible. That will help us make a match with one of our teachers.Ok
Are you sure that's your only availability? The more availability you easier it will be to arrange a teacher for you.
