I am a guitar player, vocalist, and songwriter with a passion for passing on my love for, and knowledge of music to students of all ages. My interest in music began at a young age when I found self-sitting in front of my radio for hours on end and discovering my passion for the sound of the guitar and voice, two instruments I remain in love with to this day. Fast forward 12 years I haven't looked back and I am a Berklee College of Music graduate (2018) with two degrees in Guitar Performance and Music Business. Since then, I have been playing with established national acts, playing some of the biggest festivals in the country and spreading the joy of music to students of many different backgrounds and interests.
My teaching career began in high school where I was giving private guitar lessons to other students and peers. Soon after, I co-founded an NGO called "Music for Change" in which I was giving group lessons to underprivileged children and refugees in the Middle East while raising money for beginner level instruments through various fundraisers. These group lessons gave me a lot of insight into dealing with children under the age of 10 and pushed me to find new and creative ways to convey information in a simple and fun manner. Since then I've also gained a lot of experience with students over the age of 30. A staple of my lessons is to get my students making and playing actual music as fast as possible. While the technical and theoretical side is essential to being a good musician and I encourage a regular practice routine, I find it is even more important to always bring up the reason my students started playing their instruments, their love for music, and incorporate that into the less creative aspects of learning an instrument.
Generally, I use my own custom lesson plans and materials for my students and adjust them according to skill level and interest. This includes lesson notes, technical and listening exercises. I personally don't believe in strictly sticking to the typical guitar and voice books you can find at your local bookstore or online. In fact, I strongly believe that it's my job to go past what is provided in such handbooks and provide fun, practical and engaging lessons are tailored to each of my students to fit their needs.
I push my students to find new things to love about their instrument in every lesson! I do this by teaching the essential techniques and theory behind their instrument while incorporating these concepts into the music that they are are most interested in. While I encourage regular practice and praise hard work, my students progress at their own pace by setting realistic goals that fuel their love for music and keep them hungry for knowledge. I also place a lot of importance on listening to music. I believe that music is a language, and to be able to learn a language, one must hear others speak it fluently. I aid this by supplying my students with recordings that they can access for free and at any time in hopes of deepening their love for the wonderful artistic medium.

Select all the days/times the student would be available to start lessons. Selecting "3pm - 7pm" means the student can start as early as 3pm or start as late as 7pm. It is important that you select as many days and the widest window of start times for each day as possible. That will help us make a match with one of our teachers.
OkAre you sure that's your only availability? The more availability you easier it will be to arrange a teacher for you.
