I began teaching off and on while still in college but went full-time as soon as I graduated. I currently teach private lessons on flute and piano, as well as music and movement classes for babies and toddlers. My private students range from as young as 3 years old to 76 years old. I enjoy working with all ages but am especially passionate about younger students. I love making each lesson a fun, high-energy, and interactive experience that keeps them excited about learning. I also make sure to incorporate the songs/genres each student enjoys to keep them engaged and motivated!

For young children (ages 4-6) I use a combination of Piano Adventures "My First Piano" books and my own curriculum I've created. For children 7-9, I will start them out with either Alfred's Basic Piano Library books or the Piano Adventures series. As for adults, I generally recommend Alfred's Adult Piano books. For all ages, I always include fun solo songs that cater to each student's interests. This can include Disney songs, pop, rock, jazz, specific song requests, etc. Each student is different and learns differently, so I greatly enjoy being flexible and finding what works best for each individual.
