Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Our music teachers understand that every student has different needs and abilities and therefore the lessons will be planned with that knowledge in mind.
lessons are available in the following areas:
Instruments: Piano, Guitar, Voice, Trombone, Saxophone, Flute, Clarinet, Oboe
My main music philosophy is to teach sound before sight: teach students to hear the music, and then read the notation. For beginners, I want them to become well acquainted with their instrument so I begin with the basic fundamentals, and then teach some traditional tunes before moving on to reading music. For students who can already read music, I like to work on sight-reading as well as finding solo repertoire that can be performed at recitals. Since I find every student learns differently, I like to create my own lesson plans that are tailored to the individual student because this helps them reach their full potential. That being said, I am not against method books as they provide valuable technique exercises that strengthen a student's playing.

My teaching style revolves around getting to know my student and his or her abilities/playing style. No two students learn exactly the same way, and giving one on one instruction is where we can work together to develop and progress in a customized way. I approach any kind of teaching as team work. We work together by me giving guidance and the student practicing so both of us reach our desired goals. Nothing is more rewarding that seeing a student succeed and develop a passion for what he or she is doing.

Teaching is not only my career. Teaching should be done by excellent, highly qualified people that want to make an investment in children/adults. My very first piano teacher, Diane, had an incredible impact on me... If the notes weren't right or if the counting was a little wonkey, she rarely let it slide, and she helped me to form habits that were both helpful and advantageous to all my future progress. This teaching style might sound exacting, but I believe my students have always benefitted from and enjoyed both the challenges and the fun of making music!

Select all the days/times the student would be available to start lessons. Selecting "3pm - 7pm" means the student can start as early as 3pm or start as late as 7pm. It is important that you select as many days and the widest window of start times for each day as possible. That will help us make a match with one of our teachers.Ok
