Below is a list of the minimum requirements for employment at Musika. Musika has clear-cut quality guidelines for its teachers. We take our selection process very seriously.

• Experience teaching private lessons - All teachers hired by Musika have experience teaching private lessons. We look for flexible teachers who can teach either children or adults, and who understand the nature of each of these teaching experiences.
• Formal education or training - Many of our teachers have master's degrees in music education or performance, and 99% have a bachelor's degree in music and/or certifiable music training. Furthermore, we require that all of our teachers follow industry-standard methods for teaching in order to guarantee our students' lessons are structured and collectively reliable.
• Verifiable enthusiasm - Our teachers are chosen through personal interviews intended to find those with a sincere passion for music and teaching. We want our teachers to be inspired so they can pass that inspiration on to you.
• Community recommended teachers - Most of the teachers who work at Musika have come recommended to us from other Musika teachers. We ask all our instructors to submit recommendations from past students. If there is any question about a teachers' efficiency, we call past students to discuss the teachers' level of success.
• Spotless background - All Musika instructors undertake a very thorough background check conducted by Intelius Screening Services, Inc. Intelius is a member of the National Association of Professional Background Screeners (NAPBS) and an industry leader in FRCA-compliant screening.
• Active performer - Many of our teachers perform at some of the most respected music venues in the country including the Boston Symphony Orchestra, the New York Philharmonic, and the Blue Note Jazz Club.
