I believe that the best results will always come when students truly love what they are doing. Therefore, it is important to me to make sure that the class is enjoyable. I encourage students to set goals for themselves on what they need to accomplish at each lesson. Lastly, praise and acknowledgement must be given as much as possible. Sometimes, the error's you are making during a performance isn't about technique, but about self confidence. Read More

I've also found that a combination of classical, traditional world music and modern music have a very students enjoy the singing or playing and motivate them to practice and continue to learn. I create a fun and relaxed environment on my lessons to make students learn new things with interest and develop their skills without any fear and blocks. My students are encouraged to enter competitions and recitals, as well as work on composing their own original material, so they can feel good about their accomplishments and stay motivated to learn. It's very important for me to see my students progress without tension through methods grounded in the Alexander Technique that release micro-tensions in practice, which manifest in performance. Vocal health and improving vocal quality across a singer's range is also of utmost importance. I tailor lessons according to the singer's level of proficiency and the complexity of the material or repertoire covered. Once the technique and music in mastered in sequences, we can then tackle the fun part of performance, where I guide students in bringing the story of the character and song to life. Read More

I began teaching voice in 1998, in Vienna, Austria. The following year, I was asked to teach at the Vocal Jazz Department of Gustav Mahler Conservatory where I taught for 5 years. During that time, my private teaching studio also grew, where I coached singers, songwriters and pianists. In 2004, I moved to Los Angeles, taught piano at a private music school, accompanied a Eurythmy class at The Waldorf School in Pasadena, and eventually built my own business as a piano teacher. I assess the students capacities in different areas, I design the course based on this assessment and the goals the student wants to reach. Typically each student receives training on three main areas: Technique, Ear Training and Music Theory. In each area I use ton of resources to have students learn ,absorb and apply key concepts about rhythm, melody, harmony, tone color and form. Read More
