I am a bonified voice geek meaning that ever since I started teaching in 1984, I have been obsessed with understanding the human voice. Ive studied the anatomy, physiology, acoustics, and psychology of how it all works but more importantly, Ive studied how to apply all of that science to helping people speak and sing better without making clients wade through technical termsunless they want to. I began teaching in high school, working with elementary and middle school students. Through this experience, I discovered my passion for helping others discover music. In my first full-time teaching position, I was able to to lead the Greenland (AR) High School band to the ASBOA Sweepstakes Award, the highest honor for a school band in that state.
