If such problems persist after resting the voice for a few days then singers are advised to visit a doctor as continuous soreness could be a sign of serious vocal problem such as nodules. The biggest culprit of vocal health problems is singing with bad technique. This can include shouting, straining when singing or attempting advanced techniques such as distortion without qualified instruction. To help prevent the risk of injury or fatigue, singers should warmup before vocalizing and remain hydrated.

As such, the best environment for learns is the home, as it is a familiar environment with which they can feel more confident in. If students are comfortable and relaxed, they can focus and concentrate on the lessons more. Whilst lessons content is the whether at home or in the studio, singing in an unfamiliar environment can be daunting and create nervousness for students. Taking lessons from home is also the most convenient way to learn, as it negates having to travel to and from the lesson.
