I started teaching private singing lessons five-years-ago while still in college. Starting off, I was teaching classical and pop vocal technique to fellow college students. As time progressed I expanded, and began teaching children (ages five-to-twelve) songwriting, guitar, piano and performance. I taught part-time until a year ago when started my own private studio in Southern California. For voice, I focus on proper understanding of the body and its role in singing. I combine this with a breakdown of individual skills followed by performance practice. The combination of the 2 allows there to be an understanding of the correct technique and an immediate opportunity for application. I learned my style from my mother, who taught piano out of our home when I was growing up.
