More Information About Voice Lessons

If you want a healthy voice, you need a healthy body. That means you need to watch what you eat and drink, spend time working out and rest properly. Eat healthy meals and snacks when you load up on fruits, vegetables and whole grains. Limit sugar and processed foods. Drink plenty of water rather than caffeine and sugar. When working out, choose activities that strengthen your lungs and heart, and try to do some type of exercise every day. Proper rest includes a good night-™s sleep. It also involves resting your voice. With your healthy body, enjoy a healthy voice.
Voice lessons in your home offer a convenient and practical way to master the art of singing. Voice lessons in your home require a piano or keyboard so that the teacher can use that to conduct your lessons. Whether you want to learn classical voice, jazz, pop, or musical theatre styles, our instructors can provide you instruction on what songs would suit your voice best.
When you want to learn how to become a better singer, you need voice lessons. Musika instructors are trained in every genre and style, including Classical, Country and R&B. We can help you prepare for national auditions or local competitions. You will receive customized lesson plans based on your musical goals and previous experience. As part of your lessons, you will learn how to protect and project your voice. You-™ll learn how to interpret songs, add emotion and read music. Before you audition or perform, we-™ll teach you how to manage stage fright. In addition to these topics, learn: How to enjoy and express yourself with singing, Breath control techniques, Vocal cord protection, Voice projection techniques, Vocal volume improvement, How to read music, Genre and style interpretation, How to add emotion to songs, lyrics and phrases, Performance techniques, including how to cope with stage fright.
Musika students who take adult voice lessons study many different genres of music. We have instructors who specialize in Pop, Country, Classical, Gospel, Musical Theater, Jazz and more. Do you want to audition for The Voice, American Idol or X-Factor? We-™ve successfully helped contestants prepare for these contest auditions. Do you want to win a spot on Broadway or sing better at church? Our instructors provide in studio or in-home lessons that help you hone your musical skill, choose a song that fits your voice and practice every day. Reach for the stars and achieve your musical goals with adult voice lessons in any genre.
We recommend beginning Voice lessons at age 11 or 12. The vocal instrument, unlike other instruments, is attached to the body. Starting voice lessons too young, or when the student is not emotionally ready or mature, can lead to vocal damage or straining. Many of our instructors are capable of working with younger students under this age, but it is our opinion, and the opinion of many other Vocal Education professionals, that the student should wait until their body has begun the process of puberty before beginning voice lessons.
