Featured Schaumburg Violin Teachers

Artan S

Instruments:

I am a teacher with over 20 years experiencein Europe and USA.  My violin lessons are entertaining while providing a solid musical structure to build upon. I encourage and inspire my students to do their personal best in a creative, positive and enriching learning environment. I teach students of all ages  using a variety of teaching materials based on the individual students learning style. I enjoy teaching students at various stages in their development whether they are preparing for College or University auditions, studying for their own enjoyment or preparing to join a local community string ensemble or orchestra.

Jeannette H

Instruments:

I have over 12 years of teaching orchestra at a high school level and over 20 years of private lesson teaching instruction. I know that everyone has enough "talent" to play a musical instrument; I provide the precise instruction on how to approach violin/viola in order to grow your talent. I am comfortable communicating with children just learning to play and very much enjoy teaching adult beginners also. My joy is watching the eyes of a student as they realize that they are playing music... and it wasn't really all the hard, after all.

Alissa K

Instruments:

I am a recent graduate from Millikin University eager to spread my love for the classical violin. I have a degree in Commercial Music and Music Business, along with minors in communication and entrepreneurship. I just recently started my own business, Strings Attached, where we play for weddings and business events. I started in the Suzuki Program in Wheaton, played in numerous different orchestras since then and now have 1 year experience in teaching beginners. I have a passion for classical music and am ready to pass it along to interested students.

Kassia F

Instruments:

I have known since a very young age that music would always be the biggest part of my life. I grew up studying the violin and piano intensively, and eventually decided the violin was the instrument I wanted to focus on. Performing has always been a love of mine, but in the past few years I have found that my true passion lies in teaching. In 2013, I graduated from DePaul University wtih a Bachelor of Music degree in Violin Performance. In 2009, I co- founded a program which provides music instruction to underserved children. I have been an instructor for this program for the past four years.

Pei-Yun L

Instruments:

I enjoy playing music with other people, so I would love to share this joyful experience with my students. In 2007, I came to the States for pursuing the Masters degree in Boston and Doctoral degree in Madison. I have had lots of performance opportunity and community engagements. After the engagement with Civic Orchestra of Chicago, I am now excited to bring the joy of playing music to more people.

More Information About Violin Lessons

When lessons begin, students will need to acquire a violin. While most adults will start on a standard, full size, many children will start with a smaller model. As a child grows, the instrument will need to grow with them, and this makes renting an instrument a great option. Any music store staff, or Musika teacher will be able to help you in deciding the right size instrument for the student. Renting can be done on a monthly basis, and allows for less of a financial commitment.
Musika offers customized one-on-one music lessons at your home - a time saving solution for busy parents and students. The convenience of in-home lessons allows you to save time without having to transport your child to class, allows your child to maximize their busy schedule, and provides a safe and familiar environment in which to learn.
Music lessons are tailored to the students specific needs. The teacher will work with each student individually to develope a lesson plan that ensures the most productivity. While working towards the students specific goals, there will be lessons in music theory, how to correctly handle the instrument, and how to develope the students own musicianship. While Musika does not mandate a particular style of teaching, if there is a method you are interested in we will do our best to match you with a teacher that specializes in that area.
We love adult students! We have adults who are complete beginners, some who haven't played their instrument in 10 years, and some who are more advanced students looking to take their skills to the next level. Our teachers have proven methods to get you the results you desire.
Our earliest recommended starting age for violin is 4, although exceptions can certainly be made for a younger student who is capable of handling the strings properly and who has sufficient strength in the fingers and hands. A teacher can help you decide which size instrument to choose depending on the age and height of your child.
