Robert G

Instruments:

I'm a patient and caring individual who believes in giving back to the community because the community has given me so much. I enjoy playing and teaching music more than anything. I've had the opportunity of learning from many great teachers in the state of North Carolina, and have had the privilege of being a part of groups such as the ECU Wind Ensemble, ECU Marching Pirates, ECU Trumpet Ensemble and several other quality groups.

Trumpets are usually ranked as student, intermediate, and professional models. Usually student trumpets are appropriate for beginning players. When purchasing a trumpet, it is important to visit a music store or speak with a trumpet expert to make sure you get the best value and the highest quality instrument. A large majority of students may choose to rent their instrument before purchasing. If you go this route, you will need to purchase your own mouthpiece to use with the trumpet.
In home trumpet lessons are extremely convenient for parents and students alike. Studying in home is no different than studying in a studio. Lessons are generally once a week.
Our teachers create a custom lesson plan for each student studying clarinet. Trumpet lessons are useful for many students taking band during school. They will focus on how to prepare the instrument for playing, how to hold the trumpet, how to play the valves, how to read music, and common musical styles which use the trumpet.
We have many adult students taking trumpet lessons. Learning this instrument is a great way for many adults to learn a new skill, and have fun in the process! In just a few lessons, our teachers can help you notice significant progress.
We suggest starting trumpet lessons at age 7 or 8. A student should be able to hold the instrument correctly, so their fingers must be large enough to do this. Playing trumpet also requires significant lung capacity, which can be difficult for a younger child.
