Overview:
I have taught many different classes and played various instruments in many different ensembles and settings. I am a fluent musician/song writer and I relay through my methodology, a system of learning with minimal frustration and maximized student success. I effectively teach students how to put their ideas and emotions into music. I am adept and respectful of diverse learning styles and will encourage the best of each student. I am soundly qualified and confident that I can effectively develop any student’s ambition into successful musical endeavors.
EXPERIENCE
I have 18 years of experience in the Music and Education. My time has been combined and/or divided between performance, classroom instructing, supervision and project management. Upon graduation from Central State University I continued to study with the professors there to gain more musical knowledge. I have received credit in over 170 music classes. I studied with some of the greatest musicians there are, for ten years as I pursued my musical destiny. The combination of classroom, administration and performance has proven most beneficial to me and my students.
METHODS USED
I attained my M. Ed. in leadership and supervision at Antioch University. There I learned how better apply my teaching methods for more beneficial outcomes.  My most recent employment, with Nashville Public Schools (Music City!!!), afforded me the opportunity to teach modern band. Modern band philosophy combines instruments from various ensembles and allows the students the opportunity to explore and integrate the instrument of their interest into that band.  Modern Band is basically a rock band that is opened to other instruments and ideas that are most times contradictory to a typical rock band. I am an effective music instructor and each student will gain confidence and insight from my guidance.
LESSON STYLE
A great partial of my previous occupation required that I develop individualized programs to facilitate the needs of various learning categories.  I utilize all previously acquired knowledge and experience to facilitate adequate and effective outcomes for all of my students. I am intrigued by the opportunity to encourage, and contribute to the music industry through instruction and performance. I represent the institution with positivity and confidence. I prove effective and deliver positive, productive outcomes. It is a joyous event, seeing students acheive thier musical goals and dreams.

Patrick has connected with both my children in short order. They are engaged in his lessons. He pushes them and gets response, but he senses when he needs to back off. The kids are making great progress, and show continued interest. I couldn't ask for more.
