With almost 20 years of music education experience, I have developed a super fun and effective teaching method that has proven to work. I am a kid at heart and love working with children. And as the oldest child of 6, I possess the necessary patience and enthusiasm for their learning development. In addition, I have worked with many adult students who initially thought it was "too late" for them to learn an instrument. Proving themselves wrong, they were very successful with their new found talent. I have been a professional recording artist and live performer since the age of 15. I began teaching around the same time as a way of earning extra spending money. As the years went on, I fell deeper in love with teaching and formed a career out of it. My love and appreciation for all styles and genres of music has given me the opportunity to teach various styles of music and instruments. My love and passion for teaching began when I was a teenager. As I mentioned, it was initially a way of earning extra spending money that led to a career. With so many years of teaching experience, I have developed a teaching method that is fun and proven to work. I have worked with students of all ages and ability levels, from children to adults, beginners to advance. I tailor the lessons to fit the students goals. Whether it be learning how to read, understand theory, improve technique, or just learning your favorite songs, I can make your musical dreams come true.
I like to use a combination of books from different authors and also incorporate my own lessons as well. I keep the lessons fun and engaging with a variety of material that I think is suitable. I play music games with my young students, teach their favorite songs, while showing them all the necessary fundamentals that are required for becoming a great musician.
I make the lessons as inspiring and motivational as possible. I encourage my students to practice and set goals at each lesson. It it truly an amazing feeling when a student accomplishes a goal and the smile I get when they do. Music is such a blessing and being able to express yourself through it is an incredible gift.
