I began playing at the age of four when I first sat down to a piano. I began creating music from the first time I started to play. From there I began taking piano lessons up until I went to study music at the University of California Santa Barbara. At UCSB I studied music composition and recording at the UCSB College of Creative Studies. After college I played keyboards in a jam band that played original music and toured all over the west coast. In 2001 I moved to Seattle and began recording and releasing my own compositions. I started teaching piano in 2005 and have loved teaching ever since. I currently have over 18 students and we have recitals twice a year.

I teach beginning piano using the Faber Piano Adventures method, as well as the Suzuki method. From there we go into classical training, then on to jazz or pop. This includes music theory, technique, and the major and minor scales. I teach songwriting if you are looking to create songs, and I teach music theory as well as music composition. I teach music production, electronic music production, and all aspects of Ableton Live. If you want to learn piano without reading any music, I can teach you that as well. I would teach you chords and scales and how to play melodies over chords.
