Overview:
I am a passionate and committed music instructor and performer.  I have recently completed my second master's degree at the Royal College of Music where I learnt from some of the greatest musicians of our time (i.e. Gareth Davies and Susan Milan) and perform with fantastic orchestras like the London Symphony Orchestra.  As an avid doubler, one who plays multiple instruments usually within the same instrumental family, I perform regularly on the flute, clarinet and saxophone, especially in musical theatre pit orchestras.  Shows I have recently performed includes Joseph and the Technicolor Dream Coat and Gypsy. Whilst in London, I spent my last two years working with young people of various ages. I worked alongside passionate colleagues to present group musical workshops that may have focused on sound, percussion, composition or with full ensembles. Some of these workshops lasted a day while others lasted a few months. I was also asked by the Royal College of Music Junior Department, who worked with talented musicians aged below 19 or pre-college, to assist in teaching flute students as well as small ensembles.
EXPERIENCE
I have been regularly instructing musicians in both a 1 to 1 and group environment for at least five years.  Most recently, I have had a wonderful two years teaching young talented musicians at the Royal College of Music Junior Department.  I am a passionate instructor and performer who enjoys enriching other's musical lives.  Whether students want to learn for recreational purposes or for professional growth, I am happy to fulfill the musical needs of my students.  I enjoy teaching students of any age and encourage a relaxed environment where my students can have fun while building their musical abilities.
METHODS USED
Dependent on the instrument, I generally use essential musical workbooks as well as my own scales and exercises that create a better base to suppliment the workbooks.  I find that these general books are useful to keep the student's growth on track, however, my own sound exercises alllow wind players to usually progress at a quicker rate.  For more advanced students, once we have discussed what each student hopes to get out of their lessons and what they generally see themselves doing with their instruments in the next few years, we can decide what pieces to work on and what skills to develop.
LESSON STYLE
Most importantly, we are all here to have fun and enjoy playing music.  I always encourage my students to take risks, have a laugh and ask questions.  I work to build the student's confidence in their playing, ability to practice well, ability to perform in public and ability to be comfortable making mistakes.  We all progress at various rates and progress at any level is an accomplishment that each student should be proud to achieve.  If a student or parent of a student expresses their interested to move forward in a serious capacity, I am more than happy to encourage such movement. With my experience performing, teaching and learning, I have the skill to diagnose particular issues and find a useful way to iron them out in a fun way. Practice is imperative for growth but every student needs the proper guidance to reach their goals.

Select all the days/times the student would be available to start lessons. Selecting "3pm - 7pm" means the student can start as early as 3pm or start as late as 7pm. It is important that you select as many days and the widest window of start times for each day as possible. That will help us make a match with one of our teachers.
