ABOUT
Degrees / Training / Special Info:

BM, Berklee College of Music

Overview:
I graduated from Berklee College of Music as a bass principal. Over the last 21 years, I have performed all over the country as a bassist and guitarist with various ensembles, playing everything from rock to hip hop, blues to funk, etc. My recording session work includes commercials, film scores and soundtracks, and numerous independent releases. I’m proud to say that several of my students have gone on to study music at various institutions including my own Alma Mater, Berklee College of Music.
EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching bass and guitar professionally for the last 14 years. In that time I have had the privilege of working with a very diverse group of students. I enjoy helping them all find their niche and develop their skills as they not only become technically proficient on their chosen instrument, but also become better all around musicians. In addition to teaching privately, I worked as an instructor for the School of Rock franchise for several years, where i taught both private lessons and lead various ensembles. I'm proud to say that I have seen some of my students go on to study music at prestigious colleges.

METHODS USED

I believe that while teaching the fundamentals of music, it's important to work with my students on developing the particular skills that they desire the most. There are no two students who are exactly alike, and therefore, no two lessons should be exactly alike!

LESSON STYLE

I am thrilled when a student accomplishes a goal that they set for themselves. To help them along the way, I tailor each lesson to the individual. Different priorities will arise from time to time and it's important to consider that when designing a lesson plan. Nothing inspires a student more than seeing and hearing their own progress and that is my ultimate goal!

Select all the days/times the student would be available to start lessons. Selecting "3pm - 7pm" means the student can start as early as 3pm or start as late as 7pm. It is important that you select as many days and the widest window of start times for each day as possible. That will help us make a match with one of our teachers.
