Overview:
I am an inspired and hard-working instructor that strives to give his students the best education possible.  I graduated from the Bob Cole Conservatory of Music in Fall 2013 where I was a member of the top performing groups such as the Concert Jazz Orchestra and Pacific Standard Time.  In my studies I have had the experience to play and learn from world class musicians and teachers. As a teacher I have worked with countless students at all levels of experience and cater my lessons to what the student wants to get out of learning music.
EXPERIENCE
I have been teaching lessons in my private studio and at studios in the LA area for the last 7 years.  Through my experience I have learned how to make lessons fun and engaging for my students.  I also have experience preparing students for recitals and coaching them on various aspects of live performance such as stage presence and stage fright. From a four year old that can't speak english to students much older than myself, I have seen it all!  I'm always eager to take on new challenges and to share my love of music with the world.
METHODS USED
In my lessons I use snare drum method books such as Mitchell Peters Intermediate Book or Stick Control by George Stone to teach reading and basic hand technique.  Once I feel the student is proficient in reading and technique I move on to drumset coordination books as well as learning drum parts to the students favorite music.  I also teach techniques for xylophone, tympani and other classical percussion instruments.  I have an extensive library of music books and techniques so if one method doesn't work I have no problem customizing my lesson plan to fit the student's need.
LESSON STYLE
In my teaching I make sure that my students never feel overwhelmed or confused by the material.  I give them reasonable assignments based on their skill level and make sure to give them reasons for everything they are doing.  I always try to help my students achieve little accomplishments in every lesson. I find this helps to prevent students from becoming discouraged or disengaged. I am always adjusting my lessons to fit the personality of the student I am working with. I always try to keep my lessons fun and engaging!

Select all the days/times the student would be available to start lessons. Selecting "3pm - 7pm" means the student can start as early as 3pm or start as late as 7pm. It is important that you select as many days and the widest window of start times for each day as possible. That will help us make a match with one of our teachers.
