I am a charismatic and vivacious voice instructor who believes one voice can change the world! As a recent graduate from the American Musical and Dramatic Academy, I am trained in all aspects of the performing arts. Throughout high school I sang classically, and continued studying the style of musical theater. I have had the opportunity to perform all over the East Coast with different titles such as; Outstanding Miss Eastern America, Outstanding Miss of America, and America's Homecoming Queen.
I began teaching at the age of 15 and found it to be one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. I taught several competitive dance teams to children of all ages, as well as teaching private voice lessons to fellow choir members, friends, and fellow pageant contestants. As I grew more confident in my legit soprano voice I started offering my services in classical training and music theory, and found my methods to be very successful with students. Since the beginning of my teaching years, I knew I had a great passion for working with childten. I thrive off of optimism and encourage my students to work to their full potential. I look forward to working with you!
It is important to know about your instrument to be able to properly use it. My students will not only begin with the basic fundamentals of singing, breathing techniques, and music theory; but they will also learn the anatomy of the voice and how the body allows the sound to be produced. Students will be given different assignments each week so that a progress report can be given to parents on their child's voice development.
My approach to teaching is simple...I just use the three P's. Punctuaillity, positivity, and perseverance! Basically saying, I will always be on time with a positive attitude! My goal is to make students feel comfortable and confident. Each lesson should feel like a brand new step in accomplishing their goals.
