Overview:
Guitar, bass and ukelele instructor skilled in many genres of music, including, but not limited to, jazz, blues, rock and classical music.  I have over twenty-five years of experience reading and performing music.  This has allowed me to become an accomplished instructor of all ages and skill levels. My career has spanned all over the world including Thailand, New Zealand and most recently, the United States.
EXPERIENCE
I first started teaching private lessons to beginners in Chiang Mai, TH in 1997.  Being fluant in Thai and English helped my students learn more about music from the United States.  Then I pursued my education and learned more about teaching methods and developed an effective and logical approach to teaching.  For the last 10 years, I have been teaching private lessons as well as adult guitar classes at the local vocational school.
METHODS USED
To start, I like to get an idea of the skill level and music interests of the student by doing an introductory lesson. Then I teach music theory in a way that can be related to the style of music the student enjoys. I have created my own teaching method, which is taylored to each individual student.  Several different books are used, depending on the style the student prefers.
LESSON STYLE
I belive music is the universal language.  It doesnt matter what type of music you play, the theory is all the same.  When you learn a song, the theory should be learned as well.  I like to give scales and a practical theory lesson each week, then transcribe a song for the student to learn that relates to the weeks lesson. Then at the end of each week's lesson, we will practice impovisation with the scales, theory and song learned from the week before.

Select all the days/times the student would be available to start lessons. Selecting "3pm - 7pm" means the student can start as early as 3pm or start as late as 7pm. It is important that you select as many days and the widest window of start times for each day as possible. That will help us make a match with one of our teachers.
