I received my Bachelor of Music in Music Education from Arizona State University in 2019 where I studied with Dr. Christopher Creviston, world-renowned soloist and soprano saxophone chair of the Capitol Quartet. Throughout my collegiate studies, I performed with a variety of groups at ASU including the Jazz Repertory Band, the Wind Ensemble, and the Virtus Quartet, in addition to performing with Breakthrough Indoor at the 2016 WGI World Championships and with the ASU Saxophone Choir at the 2020 North American Saxophone Alliance Biennial Conference. I always like to incorporate music theory and aural skills into my lessons as I believe those subjects are a must in becoming a well-rounded musician. I'm a passionate and curious musician. I'm self-taught in the styles of classical and jazz from when I picked up the clarinet I found at a Salvation Army at the age of 10. I taught myself until I started college and studied with Kelly Lake, Stephanie Gardner and currently with Jeff Quamo. I graduated from Temple University in 2011 with my Bachelor's degree in Music Education.  I was a saxophone major, but I have also studied piano since the age of three.  I enjoy performing in musical pits, which is where I picked up the flute and the clarinet.  I am currently a choral teacher at the high school level, but I have previously taught in a K-8 school, as well as several years in a daycare setting with very young students.
