Described by The Times Herald-Record, New York, as a "firm bass- baritone", and by The Boston Musical Intelligencer as "outstanding dramatically and musically", I am a classical singer with international credits, at home in diverse genres from opera to art song, Broadway to The American Songbook, spirituals to jazz and pop. I am also a professional drummer, pianist and instructor.

I began learning piano at the age of three.  My dad is a band and chorus teacher and didn't consider it an "optional" skill.  I actually learned to read music before english!  (I was confused in kindergarten when I found that the alphabet went past G!)  Music has been an integral part of my life since then with my elementary and high school years filled with festivals, concerts, auditions and competitions.  I then went on to get my Bachelor's degree at Berklee College of Music.  I am currently working on my Master's Degree in Composition at the Vermont College of Fine Arts and hope to pursue my Ph.D in Composition afterwards.

I am a singing voice specialist who is trained in diagnosing and correcting vocal pathologies.  I have found great success in helping singers of all ages and abilities free their voices and gain control of producing a sustainable and authentically stylized sound.  In 2004, I graduated from Westminster Choir College with a Bachelor of Music in Music Education with a voice principal.  After that, I continued my studies in the field of vocology at the Voice Institute of Speech Language Pathologist and Singing Voice Specialist Dr. Anat Keidar.  I have been teaching in schools and in my private studio since 2004. Instructing vocalists is my passion and your vocal success is extremely important to me.

I received my formal training in music at the University of New Hampshire, having earned a Bachelor of Music  degree in Music Theory and Composition and a Master of Science degree in Music Education. Most of my career in music education was spent in the classroom. I was very passionate about discovering and meeting the needs of my students, always striving to teach the whole person. I considered myself a talent scout, never missing an opportunity to encourage any glimmer of talent at the piano that I saw waiting to blossom. I often allowed students to perform their original, and previously learned music, in front of various audiences. Having a passion for the pipe organ, as a church musician, I brought many piano students to the organ to show them the differences and similarities between those instruments. Playing organ recitals often, I encourge my organ and piano students to take some part in the program.

I have always felt an innate passion for music. From a young age, you could be sure to find me by my family's upright piano - either plunking pretend melodies on its keys or hiding in the magical world I thought existed behind it. Soon, I joined every performing and competitive ensemble I could. Each new form of music and expression was wonderful to me. Singing, theater, mallet percussion, vibraphone, saxophone, jazz, learning music from different cultures, I couldn't get enough! Songwriting and music have always filled my soul, but it was the amazing educators in my life who inspired me to educate and share that passion in return.
