Danielle is an active orchestral player in Boston, New Hampshire and New York, playing with such orchestras as the Boston Ballet Orchestra, the Boston Philharmonic Orchestra, Orchestra of Indian Hill, Lexington Symphony Orchestra, Cape Ann Symphony and Nashua Symphony.  She has worked with many prestigious conductors, including James Levine, Ludovic Morlot, David Boyd, Jonathan McPhee, Bruce Hangen, Mischa Santora, and Benjamin Zander. Originally from the small town of Barryville, NY, Danielle's orchestral career has taken her throughout the U.S. and abroad.  She has played in Boston's Symphony Hall, New York's Carnegie Hall and Cleveland's Blossom Music Center.  She began her piano studies at the age of 9 in her hometown of Barryville, NY. Taking up the clarinet at age ten and the bassoon one year later, the precocious young musician advanced very quickly. By the age of twelve, she was studying with former Russian concert pianist Sergei Arzoumanov, who led her through the rigorous demands of European classical training. Danielle also studied for a brief time with Morris Borrenstein, a graduate of the Manhattan School of Music in New York. Daniele remains an active orchestral player in the Boston area, and a dedicated teacher of more than thirty piano and clarinet students.

I am a jazz guitarist who is interested in and plays all kinds of music.

I have taught private vocal and piano instruction on the West Coast for over 10 years, and relocated to the Boston area three years ago. I am passionate about music and music education, with special emphasis on building performance confidence.

Graduated with bachelor’s degree of Music from Musashino Academia Musicae and received his Artist Diploma from Toho Gakuen School of Music both in his native country, Japan. He taught the flute at the Yamaha Music Foundation for eight years before he came to study in Boston. Yuji graduated from the Boston Conservatory, studied with former principal flute of the Boston Pops Orchestra, Marianne Gedigian in 2001, and then continued to study with Kathryn Lukas in Indiana University. Since 1999 he has attended a multitude of summer festivals and institute, International Academia E’ete de Nice, Domaine Forget, Texas Music Festival, North Carolina International Music Program touring France and Italy. In addition to active flutist, he has also served as arts administrator in several summer festivals, The Festival Institute at Round Top (2003), Spoleto Festival USA (2004), and Marlboro Music Festival (2005~). He has been playing in Melrose Symphony Orchestra, Cape Ann Symphony Orchestra, North Shore Philharmonic, and Nebraska Theater Caravan’s A Christmas Carol national tour. In 2005, he won the 1st prize at the Houston flute club, Denise Jennings Memorial Solo & Ensemble Competition Professional level, also has selected one of 5 finalists of the Byron Hester memorial competition. His most recent recital includes Duo Indiana 2011 in a sold out performance with pianist Akiko Iguchi in Japan, and Back to Baroque with the Renovo String Orchestra at the Music Institute of Chicago September 2011. Most recent performance includes Duo Reital in Tokyo, Japan with pianist Vladimir Valjarevic in August 2012, "Sonatas And Birds."

Hello, and thanks for reading about me!  I recently graduated from New England Conservatory with a BM in Jazz Studies.  Next Fall I will be pursuing a Master's degree from the Conservatory on a full merit based scholarship.  I play lead, jazz, classical, and all sorts of pop music.  You may find me around Boston playing in musicals, rock clubs, jazz big bands, a small restaurant with a trio, or even subbing in a local orchestra. I have performed with the Miguel Zenon Quartet, Kim Bum Soo, Jason Moran's Band Wagon, Wayne Shorter Quartet, Arturo Sandoval, Jiggs Whigham, Rick Baptist, John Clayton, Tiger Okoshi, Bob Brookmeyer, and the Boston Brass among others. And I have studied with Laurie Frink, Jerry Bergonzi, Wayne Bergeron, Arturo Sandoval, Luis Bonilla, John McNeil, Steve Emery, Tiger Okoshi, and Wayne Naus.
