Mary C

Instruments:

Mary has been playing and studying music over twenty years.   She lives in the Philadelphia area, where she freelances and teaches.   She received her Master of Music degree from the Music Conservatory of Purchase College in 2011 and her B.A. in music performance from SUNY Geneseo in 2005.

Sandra G

Instruments:

I'm very passionate about teaching and love to work with all ages of students.  I had a studio in Mountain Top, PA for 25 years until our family moved to Utah.  I recently relocated to the Lehigh Valley.  I've performed with many orchestras and have coached many students to be able to compete and perform at Carnegie Hall for many years.  I take great pride in being able to teach on an individual basis, meaning I teach according to what the student needs and wants to be taught.

Chuck H

Instruments:

I have been an active musician since the age of 5, when I began piano lessons. During my public school years, I played the euphonium and the trombone in the school's many instrumental programs, as well as sang in multiple choirs. In 2014 I graduated from Westminster Choir College with a Bachelors of Music in Music Education. During my time at Westminster, I have performed with many major orchestras and conductors, including the Philadelphia Orchestra, the New York Philharmonic, the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra, the Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Simon Bolivar Symphony Orchestra of Venezuela. I appear on the GRAMMY Nominated Recording Annelies: The Anne Frank Oratorio, released in 2013 under the NAXOS label.

Vince T

Instruments:

I am a trumpeter, multi-instrumentalist, and composer/arranger in the Philadelphia and New York regions. My primary instrument for the past 16+ years is trumpet; I also regularly perform on assorted brass, electric bass, and vocals. I hold a Master of Music degree in Jazz Performance from the University of the Arts; and a Bachelor of Science in Music degree concentrating in Jazz Studies and Theory & Composition from the State University of New York at New Paltz. I have appeared on many albums during the past few years including my own debut solo album. I continually perform, arrange, compose, and record original music.

Kelsey R

Instruments:

I recently graduated with honors from Westminster Choir College where I completed degrees in both Music Education and Music Theory and Composition. I am currently working as a music teacher for the West Windsor Plainsboro Regional School District and building my career as a performer. So far I have sung multiple times at top performance venues like Carnegie Hall, the Kimmel Center, and Lincoln Center.

More Information About Music Lessons

The main benefit of taking music lessons is that they help instill a love of music! Students who take music lessons are much more likely to enjoy many different types of music, because greater understanding improves appreciation. Music lessons have been shown to approve students academics, resulting in higher test scores in math, science, and improved language skills.
Students taking lessons will have the chance to share their new found skills with family and friends at one of our various recital locations. Performing for a live audience enhances the student's excitement and joy for playing. Performers include a wide range of Musika's students from beginners to advanced, and ages 4 thru adult.
Musika offers a convenient solution when you want to add music lessons to your busy schedule. Our teachers can come to your home, on the days you are available, and give you the same great lesson that you would have in a studio! This option allows you to stay in the comfort of your own home, and get a great music lesson at the same time. With in home lessons you are able to save time, and money that would usually be spent on travel expenses.
Your trial lesson will be a chance to meet the teacher, ensure student/teacher compatibility, and for the teacher to evaluate the students current level in order to create a custom lesson plan. We have a satisfaction gaurantee for all students - if for any reason you are not happy with the teacher after the introductory lesson it will be no charge and we can find a different instructor for you.
In order to safegaurd our students and provide a level of security to the in home lessons experience, Musika utilizes Intellicorp for its screening and background check procedures on all teachers, with a thorough background check being conducted on the national, state, and local county level.
