Featured Phoenixville Music Teachers

John L

Instruments:

I enjoy teaching private lessons and helping students discover their niche and their full potential. I graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University in 2010 with a Bachelor of Music Education degree (magna cum laude). I've performed as lead/solo trumpet with the Blue Lake International Jazz Orchestra on their month-long tour of Europe in 2010. I have performed with the Newark-Granville Symphony Orchestra and the Cleveland Philharmonic Orchestra and many smaller ensembles. I'm currently pursuing my Master of Music in trumpet performance at Temple University and am studying with David Bilger, principal trumpet of The Philadelphia Orchestra.

Mary C

Instruments:

Mary has been playing and studying music over twenty years.   She lives in the Philadelphia area, where she freelances and teaches.   She received her Master of Music degree from the Music Conservatory of Purchase College in 2011 and her B.A. in music performance from SUNY Geneseo in 2005.

Sandra G

Instruments:

I'm very passionate about teaching and love to work with all ages of students.  I had a studio in Mountain Top, PA for 25 years until our family moved to Utah.  I recently relocated to the Lehigh Valley.  I've performed with many orchestras and have coached many students to be able to compete and perform at Carnegie Hall for many years.  I take great pride in being able to teach on an individual basis, meaning I teach according to what the student needs and wants to be taught.

Jordan F

Instruments:

I'm a young and highly motivated music instructor who loves teaching those interested in learning more about music.  I graduated from West Chester University in 2013 with a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education.  My main instrument is percussion, but I have plenty of experience with several other instruments as well including voice, piano, and trumpet.

Kelsey R

Instruments:

I recently graduated with honors from Westminster Choir College where I completed degrees in both Music Education and Music Theory and Composition. I am currently working as a music teacher for the West Windsor Plainsboro Regional School District and building my career as a performer. So far I have sung multiple times at top performance venues like Carnegie Hall, the Kimmel Center, and Lincoln Center.

More Information About Music Lessons

The main benefit of taking music lessons is that they help instill a love of music! Students who take music lessons are much more likely to enjoy many different types of music, because greater understanding improves appreciation. Music lessons have been shown to approve students academics, resulting in higher test scores in math, science, and improved language skills.
Live performing is a great asset to any musician. Musika offers recitals every year in the Spring, where students of all ages and levels can come together to show off their hard work! Our teachers help the students to choose and prepare their material, and Musika provides the venue and a piano accompanist if the student should need one.
Musika offers a convenient solution when you want to add music lessons to your busy schedule. Our teachers can come to your home, on the days you are available, and give you the same great lesson that you would have in a studio! This option allows you to stay in the comfort of your own home, and get a great music lesson at the same time. With in home lessons you are able to save time, and money that would usually be spent on travel expenses.
Your introdcutory lesson is a chance for you to meet your teacher, and ask any questions you have before commiting to registering for lessons. Only after you have decided to continue with your teacher, would you provide any billing information for Musika. This trial lesson is a great time to discuss your current skill level and goals, so the teacher will be able to work out a customized lesson plan for you.
We value the safety of our students, and want to give you peace of mind during the process of finding a new music teacher. Musika conducts background checks on every teacher by using Intellicorp.net, a leading provider of screening and background check processes.
